Join us for an afternoon of Australian choral music as The Queensland University Musical Society presents "Songbirds: Voices of Australia". Under the baton of conductor Guillaume Lemay-Yates and accompanied by the talented Christian Gante, our choir will showcase a diverse repertoire exclusively composed by Australian artists, including works from local Meanjin composers. You will hear modern classics like "I am Australian" by the Seekers and brand-new works such as "Lazarus" by Inge Dekker and "Stand Up" by Christian Gante.
This semester our concert will be held in the GHD Auditorium at The University of Queensland. UQ is very accessible by public transport or by bicycle. The best parking for this event is generally at the Grassy Knoll car park (P11) or on the ring road near-by. A limited number of accessible car parks are available closer to the building. For more info, see https://campuses.uq.edu.au/information-and-services/parking-transport/parking/accessible
We also have a special discount for groups of 5 or larger! Please either purchase a bundle ticket (available now!) or contact treasurer@qums.au for more options.
The venue is wheelchair accessible - please let us know if you have questions.
