A Patriotic Event recreates the atmosphere and enthusiasm of an Australia at the outbreak of war. Rousing choruses, songs, speeches and musical performances evoke the spirit of community and patriotism that typified Australia's fighting spirit in 1914. When the Empire called, Australia answered.

While Australia’s young men went off to battle, the war effort at home was marked by dozens of demonstrations of support including Empire Day concerts, and Red Cross and YMCA fundraising events. A Patriotic Event revives these gala spectacles for the modern day.
